What does GM mean or stand for ?
The GM of a company or commercial enterprise is a high ranking employee in the corporate hierarchy.He/she is in charge of the Deputy General Manager as well as all the section heads,team leaders,and managers of the subsidiary and sections.
He may directly report to the CEO or to the chairman and is in absolute power in the workplace.All major decisions regarding operations come from him.In order to reach the post of General Manager,many people work their entire lives and after 30 or 40 years finally reach here just before retirement.
