EIES full form – Electron Impact Emission Spectroscopy

When high speed negatively charged electrons are bombarded into a solid or a gaseous element,then they release or emit a trail of charged ions with with kinetic energy.This ion beam can radiate a broad spectrum of rays,some of which are not visible to the naked eye. This ion stream can be analysed and view through a spectrometer which is known as EIES or Electron impact emission spectroscopy.
